Gary Massey, Jr.
Mr. Massey is a well-known courtroom advocate, especially focusing on civil cases. Mr. Massey is a native of Tennessee who began practicing law in 1998. He graduated from Cumberland School of Law where he was ranked in the top 3% of his class. While in law school, Mr. Massey was a member of the Cumberland Law Review (a periodical dedicated to exploring current trends in the legal field) on which he served as an editor for one year. At the same time, Mr. Massey contributed to the writing of several articles published in the Law Review and authored one full-length article that was published in the Law Review.
After graduating law school, Mr. Massey began working in a large law firm where his practice focused mainly on insurance defense and large corporate matters. In December 2000, Mr. Massey joined with Bill Speek and opened Massey & Speek, PC. Since then, Mr. Massey has focused his practice on helping the disadvantaged enforce their rights against those who mistreat them.
On the personal side, Mr. Massey is happily married. In his office you will find many photographs of his wife and daughter as well as his niece and nephews. Having grown up on a farm, Mr. Massey still enjoys the outdoors including returning to his parents’ farm as well as hunting and other outdoor sports. As a second vocation, Mr. Massey is also a Christian Minister.
