Chattanooga Accident Involving Hamilton County Special-needs School Bus Results in Student Injuries
A special-needs school bus was recently involved in an accident in Chattanooga with a Pontiac Grand Am. Even though the crash has been reported as being minor, four children as well as two others, the bus driver and the driver of the Grand Am, have been taken to the hospital as a precaution. The collision took place after 4 p.m. at 2000 Amnicola Highway in which the school bus was rear-ended by the Grand Am when both vehicles were entering Riverside Drive from the highway. The driver of the Grand Am stated that she wasn’t able to see the school bus due to a glare from the sun. Although an investigation into the Tennessee school bus crash is still pending, the Grand Am driver is reported to have been cited for following the school bus too closely in addition to not having auto insurance.
