As an employee, you have the rights to claim workers' compensation benefits. If you were injured at work, you should notify your supervisor immediately or within thirty (30) days after your injury.
Seek Medical Treatment. It is mandatory for your employer to offer a panel of three (3) physicians not associated together in practice near your community. As an injured worker, you have the right to choose a doctor. If your recovery time off work exceeds seven (7) days, you may be entitled to disability payments.
According to Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development, all medical costs owed under the Tennessee Workers' Compensation Law shall be paid within thirty-one (31) days of receipt of bill.
